Dan DiPietro
Mr. DiPietro has over twelve years of biomedical investment and research experience. Co-founder and President of Huxley Pharmaceuticals, an Aceras portfolio company acquired by BioMarin Pharmaceuticals Inc. in October 2009.  Co-founder of Bioenvision Inc, an oncology company which gained approval for its lead drug and was acquired by Genzyme Corp in 2007. Responsible for over $300M in direct investments in emerging public biotechnology companies as a Managing Director at SCO Capital Partners, a life sciences merchant bank.  Managing Director at Promed Management, a health care focused private investment firm.  Graduate Fellow molecular biology Columbia University, Research Associate Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

John Liatos
Mr. Liatos has over fifteen years of financial and operational experience in the private equity and venture capital industries and plays an integral role in the overall formation and business strategy of the Aceras portfolio companies, as well as evaluating new investments.  He also assumes active leadership roles in the portfolio companies, functioning as interim CFO/COO through the first 12-18 months of operations. He was a Co-founder and CFO of Huxley Pharmaceuticals, an Aceras portfolio company acquired by BioMarin Pharmaceuticals Inc. in October 2009. Prior to Aceras, Mr. Liatos served as the Chief Financial Officer of a life sciences investment fund, experience included deal structure and negotiation, investment valuation, financial reporting and corporate transactions. Prior to that he served as Vice President at a New York based private equity firm. Mr. Liatos received his B.A. in Business Administration from The Citadel.

Matthew G. Wyckoff, M.D. 
Dr. Wyckoff has been in clinical medicine and the healthcare investment sector his entire career. Previously, he ran an independent consulting business providing business, corporate and clinical development advisory services to small development companies. Until that time, Dr. Wyckoff was Vice President of Business Development at a life sciences investment fund, responsible for the identification, financial and medical analysis, and acquisition of medical technologies.  Dr. Wyckoff has built an extensive network in the public and private drug development and academic sectors, both in the Unites States and abroad. He is a Licensed Physician in the State of New York, having done his training in General Surgery at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center in New York, after receiving his M.D. from SUNY Upstate Medical University.

Peter H. Barber 
Mr. Barber has over eight years of healthcare investing and consulting experience.  Prior to Aceras, Mr. Barber was a Vice President at a life sciences investment fund, responsible for the identification, financial and medical review and acquisition of medical technologies. Prior to that he was a Senior Associate in the Biotechnology Group of Thomson Financial (The Carson Group), where he advised the executive management teams of public and private biotechnology companies on their financial, development and investor strategies.  Mr. Barber has extensive experience founding, managing, and investing in emerging biotechnology companies, and negotiating financial and legal structures of partnership agreements.  Mr. Barber received his B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College.
